Travel photo of the day
Peaceful moments in Glacier National Park
I was on the trail to Hidden Lake, when I noticed this mountain goat just off the trail relaxing in the shade of a small tree.
While I know all wildlife needs respect, I cautiously approached to within six to eight feet of this majestic beauty. He was not bothered by my presence, and was rather curious what my GoPro on a monopod was.
I sat with him for about ten minutes, moving on to let other hiking tourists an opportunity of a photograph without my interference.
I am blessed to live in Montana, more so in such close proximity to Glacier National Park.
A few days after this photo was taken, this spot was buried under 6" to 12" of fresh snow.
You can see why they call this "The Last Best Place."
