The shutdown is all about the delay of Obamacare, yet already Americans are feeling the shock waves. Insurance rates are going up, co-pays are going up, and the latest news shows that because millions more uninsured are joining the insured, shortage of doctors, etc., there will be longer waits for appointments and emergency room visits. Yes, America gets insured, but the cost may be your life. All we hear about is how many people are going to be insured instead of not insured, that children can stay on parents plan until 26, and that it will be affordable, not to mention they can't turn you down if you have a existing condition. But, instead of treating you, they can wait until you are dead before you are seen, give you an appointment months into the future, and a panel can decide its better to let you die than allow a younger person to die. I am a plan paying customer, who is going to be placed into the pool along with all the uninsured, even those who get it free because they can't pay for it. There is no priority for paying customers we take the same route as the non-paying, yet we actually pay for them with our taxes we pay. You may think I am being selfish, but its a dog eat dog world out there, and I want to know if I need medical attention, I will get it. From what I have been seeing and reading, I am closer to deaths door than I am to seeing a doctor. This is what happens with socialized medicine -- you pray every night that you win the medical lottery for an appointment or you arrive at the emergency room when it is empty, but with 46 million new insured, that is doubtful.
