GRAVITY Interview with Actress Sandra Bullock and Director Alfonso Cuaron
- Jareen, CNN iReport producer
Dreamers dream of the place Cuaron creates; watching the sunrise, sunset, gently floating in space... easy to imagine as we safely watch from Earth. The terror begins when you hear the words "Abort Mission, Abort Mission" as you enter a gripping tale about an astronaut's worst nightmare.
GRAVITY is a compelling story about the will to exceed our
perceived limitations as human beings, a rebirth. What motivates us to take another step forward when we've experienced unbearable loss.
Oscar winner Sandra Bullock plays Dr. Ryan Stone, a hard working medical engineer who embarks on her fist shuttle mission with seasoned astronaut Matt Kowalsk, played by Oscar winner George Clooney. The two characters undergo a metamorphosis as they unearth the core of who they are, the incredible power of the will to survive, and the drive to make a difference in someones life.
Accomplished Actress Sandra Bullock knows how to captivate an audience, tugging on heart strings, in her believable performance as Dr. Ryan Stone. George Clooney, as astronaut Matt Kowalsk, plays his charming self. In his defense: after meeting three NASA astronauts, (Dr. Michael Massimino, Dr Garrett Reisman, and Dr. Catherine Coleman) I would have to say that they are quite charming, and all posses a great sense of humor!
A Warner Bros. Pictures Presents an Esperanto Filmj/Heyday films production,an Alfonso Cuaron film, GRAVITY. Written by Alfonso Cuaron and son Jonas Cuaron, produced by Alfonso Cuaron and David Heyman (Harry Potter Films).
