The US government is just ruining our honeymoon. Arriving for a 4 week stay in the US a week ago, everything seemed to work out. We had a nice start in Yosemite and continued on to Mono Lake and Devils Postpile N.M. At night we reached Death Valley N.P. and settled on a campground, where we were kicked off the next morning by NPS park rangers, who had already closed down all roads within the park, leaving only highway 190 open for thru-traffic. We notice around a hundred buses with frustrated tourists at Furnace Creek ranch, who apparently did not get a notice of the closure until reaching the park. However, the closure of all roads seemed to be very much prepared.
Currently we are stopping by in Las Vegas, but can not continue on to Zion and Bryce. This is our only leave for 2013 and our honeymoon. I would consider never visiting the US again.
