Friday is the day everybody looks forward to, at least folks with a 9 to 5 job. Friday the 4th, 2013 is probably one Friday ''Lagosians'' in Nigeria are looking forward to forgetting. The heavens opened at about 3 am and up till this very moment they don't look like they are going to get shut. Victoria Island which is like the corporate hub of business in Lagos is already inundated with water, right from near the beach down to the many clandestine streets. Commuting has been a nightmare for those who don't have their own vehicular transportation. It's a sight we are familiar with anyway owing to the poor drainage systems. One thing we can say for sure is that people on the island side of Lagos are frantically looking at their watches and nervously counting down to the close of work.
