Hazaragi Cultural Festival 2013 Quetta
Hazaragi Cultural Festival 2013 was held at Quetta, Pakistan. It was like brining dead into life as everyday there are targeted killings and suicided bombings. The main purpose of this cultural festival was to promote Hazaragi Culture and give them hope of life. Hazaras are Dari speaking people who mainly live in Afghanistan. More than 650,000 Hazara may be found living in neighbouring Pakistan and an estimated one million in Iran.
On 29th of September, Hazaragi Cultural Festival was held in which students from different schools participated. They took part in singing, drama, and dress show competition. In the end, the winners were announced and different prizes were distributed among the winners.
The cultural festival was a nice initiative taken by the group named "Nawjogh Initiators", students from Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences, who became victim of a suicide bomb blast last year. The festival, somehow, boosted Hazara People as it was start of a change, happening in Quetta as Hazaras have been badly persecuted in last decade because of their being minority in the region. http://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-929674
They are psychologically tensionized because they are seiged in their own area because of threat they face while they go to the city centre. But, the cultural festival boosted them and changed their mentally disturbed mind, somehow. In short, the cultural festival brought up a new wave of life in Hazaras.
