Shutdown over: What next?
Fade to Black
The shutdown of our government highlights the failure of a president-promises broken, puppetry in rhetoric, replacing a diplomat with a demagogue (Hillary with Kerry), inability to elevate our standing on the world stage and clearly only a shadow of a leader whom everyone thought would "save" America, as personally witnessed by me when scores of new voters where enlisted to back the move for "change" whom never had voted in their lifetimes, ignoring all the years which I and others had diligently voted since the age of 18 to work within and for our democracy. The faded glory of our leader's reign has now gone dark and the people who voted for him shouldn't be complaining about it. I was not one of them either term. It is a sorry state of affairs and the message he gives by not taking Air Force One to the APEC summit drives home the message that Americans are no longer globally-minded nor are they going to ever now be able to compete or collaborate with the true leading economy of the world-that of China. I am grateful to be a university teacher here in China who is getting a paycheck and so sorry for the people who will still have bills to pay when they are on furlough there which ultimately will create more of a financial and social mess in the longrun. For all the sheep of the flock, it's truly shameful!
