Peru's President visiting Thailand
The President praised educational developments of Thailand. Both parties signed an MoU on education, aimed at providing scholarships for students through exchange programs.
This is the fourth official visit of a President of the Republic of Peru to Thailand since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1965, reflecting the close and cordial ties enjoyed by the two countries, as well as demonstrating Thailand being Peru’s important partner in Southeast Asia.
According to the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it is also a reflection of the growing links between Latin America and Thailand, a development to which Thailand attaches importance, and to the interdependence between both sides of the Pacific which is fundamental to APEC’s future.
