    Berklee in Santo Domingo

What are the stylistic considerations of improvisation? Who does it? How do we learn it? How does it relate to the composers' craft? Why should all instrumentalists—drummers, guitarists, bassists, pianists, wind players, string players and vocalists—strive to be well-rounded artists?

These questions will be our guide as Berklee College of Music presents its first Berklee on the Road workshop at the National Conservatory in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The workshop is for all musicians—from classical to pop and rock to jazz and more—interested in learning to be the best musicians they can be.

Berklee in Santo Domingo will present classes in lecture and master class formats on topics such as instrumental technique, improvisation, and harmony. Students will then apply these skills in ensembles and special lectures.
