Unity In The Community Against Police Brutality
We are also asking that the Chief of Police J.K. Cato be fired, as well as Captain Robert Fawley for authorizing the false reports and assisting in the manipulation of evidence to obstruct criminal investigations, and for covering up public corruption. The continual justification of injustices perpetrated by the very authorities whose duty it is to protect us, has taken concerns with the citizens.
As the Public, We demand that they be terminated. We demand truth and justice for all victims of Police Brutality and Corruption. We want more supervision and regulating of the West Point Police Department and assurance in their abilities to uphold the peace, as well as justice served for those officers that have committed or participated in crimes against the community, such as this.
This protest is to ensure that brutality and abuse of process by the police cease to continue. It is our hope that justice will be served, and that this protest will help to highlight the fact that.
The Fourth Amendment to the Constitution guarantees us that all citizens has the right to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, and that right shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, without probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
The protesters demand to be treated equally under the law; this includes those that execute police services against people within their cars.
We, the undersigned strongly oppose the corruption, brutality and harassment of people within the jurisdiction of the West Point Police Department. We expect to resolve this ongoing issue in a fair and expeditious manner with a demand for reform to regulate the police department and the complaints of its citizens.
We pray that you would cover and give public notice of our story to allow our voice to be heard
