Republicans Feel Soooo Bad That People Aren't Getting 'Their' Money
World War II veterans weren't able to see their memorial in Washington DC and Republicans felt bad.
Mothers aren't getting their WIC checks, kids aren't getting their cancer treatment, 400,000 government workers aren't getting their checks and Republicans feel badly.
Republicans are asking for the President and the Senate to pass House Bills that will help to alleviate the problems a shutdown has caused in a piecemeal fashion. Why?
Did Republicans honestly believe that their shutdown had no consequences?
Now they blame the President for a shutdown they caused.
The GOP can't pass any bill now because they are unwilling to compromise. Yet they accuse the president of being unwilling to do the same.
The GOP is correct. Obama didn't compromise.
He just gave the GOP the budget number they were asking for.
This budget is only $20 billion higher overall than Paul Ryan's Austerity Budget.
Obama, by not coming in higher on his initial gambit lead the GOP to believe that they had left money on the table.
Even after the severe cuts that the sequester brought to our economy, the GOP wants more.
Who ran up the deficit? Remember the Iraq War?
Now, they get fiscally responsible. Now they get a conscience? Hardly.
The GOP wants us to pay down the debt they authorized..faster because they are..(snicker) worried about American's children's future.
Yes, we see the very real, crocodile tears form the very party that is causing all the pain to those affected by the GOP's government shutdown. It's an act.
As Senator Rand Paul said to Senator Mitch McConnell, "It polls well to say you're willing to compromise and that you give a crap".
What's it all come down to?
The GOP have been claiming for years that they are sick of redistribution and have repeatedly tried to legislate away all social safety net programs that cost the 'makers' money.
Now, they feel sooo bad(ly) for those people that aren't getting their money?(the 47%..you know, the takers)
I don't think so.
This is what they've wanted all along- not to have to give any of their money to those loafers in the middle class that need to be weaned from the nanny state.
Claiming they care? It is reprehensible.
