Furloughed Federal workers caught in the middle of the debauchery of the government shutdown will be hard-pressed to forget the impact that it has had on their lives. Most importantly, come 2014, when many primary races will be held, they will not hold back their fury on the party the majority of Americans hold responsible - the GOP. Faced with no paychecks and agonizing over how they will pay the bills and put food on the table, many federal workers are now beginning to understand the importance of turning out in droves to vote in midyear elections, to effectively preserve balance in the House and Senate, and to prevent any additional idiotic extremists from sneaking in and holding the government hostage with their childish tantrums when the President does not acquiesce to their demands.
Federal workers will not forget - their voices will be heard at election polls nationwide.
