I took this picture in last week of August 2013 at Denali National Park during my bus ride to Kantishna. Before I left for the trip many people told me that August is not the best time to visit Alaska because it becomes cold and deserted. However as per my experience I think August is the best time at Denali because it is the peak of fall colors there. One can see not only the reds, yellows and goldens but also purples and pinks because of the berry bushes changing their color. The reds in this picture are the berry bushes. There were cranberries, blueberries and blackberries. It was a fun experience sight seeing and picking berries at the same time.
