Democrats, Let The GOP Take Us Over and Voters Will Give Them A Reality Check in 2014
Paul Ryan is now being seen as the 'adult' in the room?
Ryan wants to cut government to the bone but news outlets like CNN praise his plan to get out of this debt ceiling impasse. How?
By cutting more programs that help the middle class who can not find a good paying job anymore in America.
There's no more room to haggle because Democrats have put it all on the table.
Reality in Republican Land is different than what it is in the rest of the country.
GOP television tells them that a debt default won't matter. GOP 'intellectuals' say it won't affect us.
They say this is a way to force the country into having a balanced budget- only spending money that we take in with no borrowing.
The GOP doesn't understand why we borrow money to fund investment as a country.
Democrats, for the most part, do understand and know not raising the debt ceiling will cause us great harm.
But if we aren't able to raise the ceiling, this may be a great opportunity to finally purge the Republican Party from national politics for the good of the country'
They used to be the opposition.
Now, they offer nothing but obstruction to everything but more for the rich and corporate America.
Interest rates will skyrocket for car loans and homes.
The interest we pay on our national debt will double.
The Republican Party doesn't believe what will happen so they have no fear of going over the edge.
The GOP won't police the far right and need to be made to pay the ultimate consequence for their arrogance.
Finally, many conservative Americans are seeing their lives affected by the Tea Party's policies.
Approval ratings for the GOP is in the basement.
Democrats need to finish the job that Republicans have started.
President Obama needs to raise the stakes by standing firm against any more cuts to our social fabric.
If the GOP will not agree to stop this madness, then let our country default on the debt.
This will finish the GOP and they will be hard pressed after wards to raise funds to run for a county administrator office.
We need them to get out of the way. If they won't admit to their mistake, then let them make it.
They'll be finished for good.
During the last Presidential election, Karl Rove told the FOX NEWS crew to recheck their prediction that Obama would win the presidency. He believed they had to be wrong.
They weren't but he was- just as wrong as Republicans are now as to who the American people will blame if they fail to allow the debt ceiling to be raised.
So let them be wrong. The country will finally be rid of the obstructionists.
Maybe then we can rise from the ashes to rebuild this country the way our founders intended- for the people and not the corporations.
