Protests in Egypt: Your experiences
PLEASE LEAVE US ALONE.
Throughout Egypt, posters of al-Sisi wearing dark glasses abound, which is reminiscent of Gamal Abdel Nassar, Egypt’s longtime dictator who died in 1970, McCain said.
“I’m afraid we may be seeing a return to that kind of government,” McCain said. “I promise you will see, if they keep going the way they are today, an insurgency in Egypt and terrorism, because they are not able in Egypt today to keep people down.”
Daily beast October 10, 2013.
The Honorable John McCain:
As a retired Egyptian Army officer may be at your age, please allow me to take the liberty of posting this letter. Sir, yes you’re a war hero, you refused a North Vietnamese offer of early release, because it would have meant leaving before other prisoners who had been held longer, son of the Admiral commanding the Pacific Fleet, awarded an astonishing Silver Star, Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. I too am a war hero and the bullets from 73 war still in my body as a witness to my love to my country. With all due respect Sir, you only serve US interests, that is fine but you are no friend to Egyptians and you don’t hold an ID allowing you to cast a vote in the next Egyptian presidential election. Egypt is not a county in Arizona. Please leave Egyptians salvage their own country and choose their new leader, after all sovereignty belongs to the people. We have seen your advice in Syria and Libya and where both countries are now. They both enjoy stability, democracy and being prosperous following the footsteps of Iraq. NOW THE THE CANCER CALLED “AMERICAN AID” IS GONE, PLEASE LEAVE US ALONE.
No doubt that the “Arab Spring” — like the earlier “color revolutions” in Eastern Europe — were almost certainly destabilization/regime change operations, funded and orchestrated by the CIA, State Department, historic CIA-funded foundations “NGOs”. By the way Sinai will remain Egyptian territory and Egyptian Army will remain the last standing force in the Middle East. Plesae tell President Obama to stop supporting a terrorist organization called Muslims Brotherhood so Egypt will not have insurgency or terrorsit acts. Where all those mujahideen in Sinai, Syria and Libya came from? The answer is Afghanistan, they all trained by CIA officers since 1981. Will it surprise you to know that US released a well known terrorist from Guantanamo and sent him to Libya days before Arab Spring in Libya? Where all these weapons came from? Will it surprise you to know that hours before benghazi attack, there was a deal between US ambassador and Turkey ambassador to deliver weapons shipment to Syria? for God sake, more than 100 churches had to be burnt, many were historic, to prove to the west that Coptic Christians will never be a part of planned civil war in Egypt?
You called Morsi’s election free and fair election while all intelligence reports reached your desk indicated that MB infilterated the national printing organization for election ballot and marked more than a million ballot voting for Morsi before these ballots reach the voting station polls and in upper Egypt MB thretened Christians if they vote for Shafiek. I bet you listened to eavesdropping conversation at election commission HQ indicating that Morsi lost the election and fully aware of the extraordinary efforts Anne Patterson, United States Ambassador to Egypt, made in three days before the election result was announced and who she met to ensure Morsi, MB candidate, was the winner. In every step of the way, America cast a blind eye on the truth.
Egyptians have pride too, again with all due respect , US no longer had a great deal of influence over the Egyptians once US support to Egypt is gone, Al Sisi is now able to spread a new spirit among Egyptians called Egyptian nationalism or patriotism and say, for once, that we’re not going to be told what to do by the Americans. We will do what we think is in our interest and the country’s interest. YES current Defense Minister Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is a patriotic, Nasser-like figure who should run for president. Nasser made his army a "proud army" so do Al Sisi.
Benjamin Netanyahu joined the Israel Defense Forces during the Six-Day War in 1967, and became a team leader in the Sayeret Matkal special forces unit. He took part in many missions between 1968 - 1973. Netanyahu is now Israeli prime minister. Why Al Sisi wouldn’t be our next president if Egyptians want him?
Golda Meir, prime minister of Israel, once said, “Peace will come when the Arabs love their children more than they hate us. Please leave us alone so we can love our neighbours.
PLEASE LEAVE US ALONE.
