    7.2 Magnitude Earthquake hits Philippines

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Aid worker Orlando Ducay, who works for WorldVision1 charity, captured these images of the aftermath of a major earthquake which hit the central Philippines Tuesday. The photos were taken in Sagbayan in Bohol, where many buildings were badly damaged. His colleague, Holly Frew, in the U.S. said the agency was assessing the damage and working to provide temporary housing for those in need. "Many of the survivors are camping outside their damaged homes rather than traveling to the evacuation centers because they are trying to salvage and protect their property and are afraid of the aftershocks," she said. "Many of the roads are damaged, making them difficult to travel [on]." More than 100 people died in the quake while several are still missing, authorities say.

These photos were taken by Orlando Ducay Jr., World Vision staff based in Bohol. Immediately following the 7.2 magnitude earthquake, Orlando captured these images from the streets of Bohol's ground zero in Sagbayan to reveal the extent of damage in quake-hit areas of the Philippines.
