Autumn Vehicle Maintenance Tips
Many people in the Phoenix area travel north to the snow country or south to Mexico and the still extreme heat.
This means it is time to get your car or truck in tip-top road ready condition.
Check out these auto repair and auto maintenance tips from Mike Yocum, owner of Auto Air & Electric. Auto Air & Electric is located at 23rd Ave & Bell Rd. in north Phoenix. Mike has over 30 years of automotive experience and can give us all some helpful advice.
One of the top tips for keeping your auto in road ready condition is keeping up with the scheduled maintenance for your vehicle.
Have the oil changed in your vehicle at the manufacturer's recommended interval.
Have your tires rotated every 5000 miles or an easy way to remember is have them rotated when you have the oil changed.
Your wheels should be aligned when you have your tires rotated.
Have your brakes checked for wear and replaced if needed. This will save you a much larger bill in the future.
You auto repair shop should inspect your steering and suspension when it is in for service.
Have you car's cooling system checked for leaks or low fluid.
Have your battery and electrical system checked for correct charging.
Your shop should visually check your air conditioning system.
Any emissions equipment should be visually checked.
Your shop should have a regular inspection service for your vehicle that includes those items mentioned above.
