    Typhoon Wipha Lashes Tokyo

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     British photojournalist ElBranden shot this video of heavy winds and rain in Kiyose, Japan, north of Tokyo, as Typhoon Wipha pummeled the country, leaving at least 17 people dead. He said the storm has since left his area and headed north, although military helicopters are still flying overhead checking for storm damage. "While the storm was said to be the worst in 10 years to hit Tokyo, it certainly did not feel like it, I have seen worse," he said. "My wife, who is Japanese, stubbornly and in character stormed the storm to go to work, even though I suggested she should leave after it passed."
