Shutdown over: What next?
If We Were Indigent, The Government Might Listen
The shutdown IS affecting us personally, and our Children. My fears, and realizations are at the front lines of our lives.
My Dad is a disabled Vet. We do not know how much longer He is to live with heart failure. Now He has to worry about is VA disability. The worry is taking its toll, and I am scared for Him.I am the Mother to an ARMY Soldier. He fears the Government doesn't care about Him, or any of the past, current, or future Soldiers. I felt bad, when He calls Home and says, "Mom why should the government have to vote to pay Soldiers families death benefits". He is hurt and deeply saddened by how the Government as shut down critical training ops for Our Soldiers, and has taken away non emergency health care.
Obamacare has us in tears. We have to pay 25% higher insurance premiums through my Husbands work to pay for those that don't have health care.We are already on a strict budget and will now have to make some very hard decisions when it comes to food for the family, my necessary medications, and other household expenses. Now our out of pocket expense (deductible) is $8000 a year, as compared to $2000 last year. What is the big difference. I have kidney disease, and one of my kidneys is really bad. I will need a kidney transplant. Now I am debating on having it, because I don't want my Husband and kids to have a lot of bills should I not survive.. Obamacare made it easier for me to give up the fight, after battling 10 years.
The Government shutdown, and Obamacare have created some major issues with My Soldier, My parents, My kids at home, and our livelihood. The Government doesn't care about us, the working middle class. They don't care if we live or die, and it makes me very sad.
The Veterans who fought for our freedom, including My Father, have been tossed away like garbage in our Governments eyes. I am very troubled for our great Nation, Our Children, and Our Soldiers. I have read ALL 900+ pages of the Obama Care ACT. Line by line, twice. I wanted to be well informed, and do my research before speaking out. I would seriously doubt, those that signed the article, have read EVERY piece of it. For I seriously doubt that they would have signed it, making it Law. Some parts of it violate our Constitutional Rights. Someone with very little knowledge of what they were signing made this into law. Because knowledge able People, and those that REALLY care about the American people, would never have done something to hurt our, and many more families like mine.
If God decides to call me Home, YOU will know that the Obama Adminstration is too blame. They only care about the 15% that is going to benefit from it, the poor people. They don't care if it screws (pardon me) the rest of us. Why wouldn't the Obama Administration cater to the poor, of which half DONT WANT to work. Its easy for them to set back, collect food stamps, and sponge of the government. I guess I would cater to the poor people too, since they make up about half of the voting society. Those who hold the seats in the White House now need the votes of the less fortunate to get reelected. They, The Government, don't give a crap about the rest of us, who work hard for our money, who pay taxes, and we don't let the Government take care of our Children, WE take care of them. It is really sad to see that the indigent still get their TANF, their food stamps, and their Government aid, while our Veterans may not get their checks next month. Our Government has some very serious priority problems.
This will fall upon deaf ears. I am only one person in a small town. However, I am not afraid to try and make my voice heard, and I will until they day I know longer have a voice, for God will have called me back.
If you took the time to read this, I thank you. And if you didn't, I understand.
