Travel photo of the day
Zion Canyon on my mind
We stay in Springdale, Utah at the Best Western. Great prices, great food but its hard to get a bottle of Scotch in Springdale as it is a very Mormon town.
Best to plan on about a week to 10 days and you'll get some great light in the Canyons.
Any camera will work, you just need a wide angle lens and a tripod. I shoot Fujichrome or Ektachrome when it can be had along with a tripod, F22 or F32 aperture and a polarizer. Sometimes we leave the cameras home and just go and stand and stare and think about eternity. Next to the Kalalau Valley of Kauai or the northern Isles of Fiji, it's hard to beat.
