OC Baseball Team Helps Out
“We really enjoy getting out and helping our community,” OC outfielder Justin Dito said. “It leaves you with a good feeling knowing you were able to accomplish a task and make someone happy while doing it.”
OC’s baseball players have made a good name for their team and for their school. The players made sure they took the time to properly do everything right and that the Owen family was happy with the work being done. These boys wanted to see his family happy and that is exactly what they did. What is a better way than helping out someone in need and making his or her job a little bit easier and getting the job done a little quicker? The team was able to serve and get their name out to the public, letting them know that they’re there to help and serve everyone, or anyone who is in need of help.
“Being a part of this team is very special and helping out does show that we genuinely care,” Brady Baugh said. “It was a great experience to get out and spend some time giving back to someone who has given so much to everyone else.”
On Sept. 10, these baseball boys put practice aside and put others before themselves. They took the time to go out into the community and perform what Christians should do on a daily basis. Not only did they show what OC is all about, they showed what their team is for and what they stand for. On Sept. 10, these baseball players made an impact on someone’s life and they saw what dedicating a few hours of their time can do for someone else.
“We really learned a lot about hard work and appreciating what we already have,” Ryan Moseley said. “I think being involved with our community is a great thing. It allows us to have more people involved with our team and more fans wanting us to do good, and cheering us on.”
Hopefully there will be many more service projects coming up so the team is able to help out the community once again. (501)
