Hey gang, I just found a nice little tidbit that the media has conveniently ignored that explains how Ted Cruz has been so easily able to steamroll John Boehner and control the House of Representatives. "In 1998, Cruz served as private counsel for Congressman John Boehner during Boehner's lawsuit against Congressman Jim McDermott for releasing a tape recording of a Boehner telephone conversation." (Source: Wikipedia) Now, having a little awareness of how the legal business works, one thing I know is that someone's attorney is very likely to know about any and all skeletons their client may have in their closet. It may be unethical for an attorney to use this knowledge as a bargaining chip later when he or she is no longer representing that client, but hey, we are talking about politicians here. So while we have all been scratching our heads about why Cruz is exerting such control over the Speaker of the House, I think I may have just found the answer. Maybe.
