HALLOWEEN CANCELLED: DUE TO GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     SCARYGUYS54 photographed a Halloween house that was closed during the partial government shutdown. The house had 13 different life-size figures on its lawn, such as President Obama and Senator Ted Cruz. 'The government shutdown has not affected us one bit other then watching it on television,' he said. He also adds that the Halloween house finally opened after the government shutdown ended.
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

This Chicago area Halloween House has closed their halloween display due to the government shutdown. The display is already up so a six foot chain link fence has been installed. Folks can still look at the politically charged display.

There are pumpkins, orange lights and many life-sized characters, politicians and celebrities. They include President Barack Obama, Senator Ted Cruz, House Speaker John Boehner, Russian President Vladamir Putin, Willie from Duck Dynasty, Walter White from Breaking Bad, Robin Thicke from MTV and a moving or should we say "twerking" Miley Cyrus complete with a foam finger. Since the block is "G" rated there is no Anthony Weiner or anybody else in a hot dog costume.

Good news, a deal is close to ending the shutdown and funding has already been obtained for candy on Halloween night.

This exhibit is free and can be seen on Lawndale Street in Wilmette, Illinois, a suburb just north of Chicago.

Trick or Treat for all, shutdown or not.
