    Giant Pumpkin Carving

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Sunsetlady photographed the annual "Haunted Pumpkin Garden" at Grand Central in New York City over the October 20 weekend. She says pumpkins flown from all over are transformed into sculpted displays. The carving was not a competition, but was done by a team of master carvers, she explained. 'It's my first time seeing something like this. To transform them into spooky images is a work of art,' she said.
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

    It's Halloween and pumpkin season!

A sample of giant pumpkin carving was held at the Grand Central Terminal yesterday.

Giant pumpkins will be transformed into carnivorous plants and unearthly creatures by Master Carver Ray Villafane and his team at the New York Botanical Garden this weekend.

This giant pumpkin (photo 8) from Canada weighs 1,813 pounds will be a work of art at the Haunted Pumpkin Garden.
