CrossFit Has Changed My Life!!
Since I have been doing CrossFit over the past 2 years it has literally changed my life. It has taught me to be more comfortable being uncomfortable. In the USA where more and more people are feeling a sense of entitlement, I have seen that it takes hard work and vision to achieve great things.
Another great fact about CrossFit is the group of people I have met. For the most part they are all pretty healthy people and strive to improve every day at the box. You we show up do the WOD (workout of the day) and push ourselves and each other and give it our all.
I have learned to lift properly and keep increasing the weight I am able to move every month. I have learned to listen to my body and know when to rest and when I can go for my max effort on the lifts.
Now for the best part of all my body is in the best shape of my life and at 45 years young I look better than most women in their 20's and 30's. LOL. Being around a group of motivated people which has fueled my fire and kept me from quitting like I would always do in the past.
I feel this is the key to my success is that I have stuck around long enough to see that results happen slowly for the most part over time. And then they continue to happen and you many not even notice it because you are in your body every day but some one who sees you from the outside will notice the change in you and be shocked by your metamorphosis.
The other best part that CrossFit has given to me is mental toughness. I am not able to do things harder, adapt to change easier and when most people want to quit and run I stick around and finish off the task.
I have learned how to eat better and how power food actually is to the body. There are a number of different diets that CrossFitter follow but I have found what works for me and what does not, gluten is evil, and proportions of what I can/can't eat and what does/doesn't work for me.
I have learned that supplementation is key and absolutely vital to my health. With the amount that we sweat in CrossFit it is 110% necessary that I supplement and it is because of the people in CrossFit that I have found the best supplements I have ever used and believe that is the big result of my success.
