Brides, Gondolas, Turtles, Ducks and Geese. Oh My.

Where, you ask, would you come across brides, geese, ducks, gondolas and turtles in one spot? The answer may surprise you. I came across them all on a lovely Saturday afternoon in New York City's Central Park, quite possibly the largest 'melting pot' in America. On a gorgeous fall weekend I decided to visit the park to shoot photos of the changing leaves. But the leaves have only just begun to turn and I eventually turned my camera on the people and fauna instead.

Captured in these images are brides being photographed on their wedding day as pedestrians nonchalantly walk by, nary sparing them a glance. On the lake boaters were joined by a gondola complete with gondolier sporting a ribbon in his hat. And on the pond boaters rowed by geese and turtles sunning on a rock seemingly unaware they had an audience. Only in New York City!
