Human chain against arrests in Egypt

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     AhmedMohamed joined in the first protest of a new movement called the 7 a.m. Movement on October 31. The 7a.m. Movement is comprised of Egyptian college students who are fed up with the condition of the government, said Mohamed. They meet at 7 a.m. in the morning to try to avoid clashing with militaristic groups. “I think that protesting against the coup is definitely making a difference and it can bee seen through the hostility and violence that have been used against protesters. If the protests were not effective, then I do not believe that the participants would be faced with all of this violence,” he said.

Tens of protesters formed a human chain in the sea road in Sidi Bishr district ,in the city of Alexandria .
An urgent request was lunched for people to gather for a protest in the area by a movement called " 7 Am movement " the new movement aims to organize Anti coup protests at 7 Am The idea is that most of the movement members are university and school students and they aim to protest in the early morning before heading to their universities and schools .
Students have made many protests after the school year started and where attacked repeatedly by army ,police and thugs so the idea came that protesting very early might prevent the attacks on protesters and disperse army and police attention .
On the 31st of October in the first apply to this concept police ,army and armed thugs were unfortunately ready to attack the protest and tens of protesters were arrested including 22 girls .
the early morning protest were organized in Stanley district and included several hundreds of students ,after the 7 am protest were attacked and protesters were arrested the movement announced an urgent call for another protest at the same day to call for the releasing of all the arrested protesters .
i read the announcement on the "7Am movement " Facebook page at this link https://www.facebook.com/7.elsob7/posts/614192781955163 and i decided to join the human chain .
after i went there i found tens of protesters chanting against the military coup and the arrests that became a daily event since the 3 rd of July coup in general about 12 thousands arrests have been made since then .
i take this video for the protesters chanting ,some of the chants was " down with the militaristic ruling ,and i can hear a martyr's mother saying who will bring justice for my son " the protest lasted for about an hour and half before ending to avoid attacks by army forces and the "7 AM movement " promised to continue protesting against the coup .
