CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Sunsetlady was in New York's Herald Square and ran into the '60s-style newsstand on Wednesday promoting National Geographic's 'Killing Kennedy,' a film airing Sunday based on Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard’s book of the same name and starring Rob Lowe and Ginnifer Goodwin. 'Pedestrians were curious to find out all about the newsstand,' she said. The promotion team was in character, too, giving out the faux newspapers.

A 1960’s styled newsstand showcasing the coverage of JFK’s assassination on the front pages of The Dallas Morning News,The New York Times,The Washington Post, various magazines and vintage TV, was built by National Geographic Channel to promote the film “Killing Kennedy.

The newsstand is placed in New York City Herald Square on November 6 and travels to Columbus Circle on November 7.

Brand ambassadors dressed in 60’s wardrobe, some candies and beverages in the 60's are added attraction to the newsstand.

This is an interesting way to look back and commemorate the 50th anniversary of John F. Kennedy’s assassination.
