The Real "Wolf of Wall Street" Discusses Leonardo DiCaprio Portraying Him

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     fordfischer told me, 'Merely seeing him in person was surprising and almost surreal. I spent the three weeks leading up to this interview reading his 500-page memoir and researching him by reading original digitized articles that were published about him when he was committing the crimes he became famous for in the 90s. He's such an iterating character so to see him in person felt very strange. Both in his writing and speaking, he is incredibly open. For the interview and when he spoke to the school afterwards, he very candidly that we "ask him anything… nothing is off the table." While he lived with an enormous amount of secrets at one point in his life, since being released from prison he has become as open as humanly possible so that others can learn from it!'
