    The Life of Eli

I hired a young man from the Philippines to work for our software company as a technician. His name was Eli. We hired him a little over a year ago. He was in Tacloban when hurricane Haiyan struck. He and his wife Tintin just had a newborn baby in September. I have not stopped crying since Friday. He was the kindest person I've ever met. Such a genuinely kind person. He was there in my darkest hour last year, only two weeks with our company and I broke my jaw and could not take any support calls. He stepped up to the plate and I chatted him all of the answers from my hospital bed. Over the weekend I looked at our chats. I have Eli's life in my hands. His final year on earth.
