    Comet ISON time-lapse

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     321john traveled to Mt. Hood, Oregon, to photograph Comet ISON on November 21. He got to his location around 4:30 am and scouted for the perfect spot to see the comet. 'That was the first time I saw Comet ISON. I was so excited that I wanted to jump up and down,' he said. He says he decided capture the moving comet through time-lapse because he thought it be much much more dynamic than a static photograph. 'It was my first time shooting a comet. ISON was very small even with my longest lens I own. If it survives the passing of the sun, I will do another time-lapse,' he said.
