Fire Fighters Save Homes in Point Peron

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     DavidFullard told me, 'The fire came close to destroying homes. Firefighters extinguished the fire after a hot afternoon fighting it.'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

West Australian Fire Fighters have saved homes, shacks and property from a bushfire at Point Peron in Western Australia.

Memorial Drive and Lease Road were closed while fire crews fought the fire.

The cause is Arson.  Arsonists from previous deliberatly dangerously lit fires are still at large in the Rockingham/Kwinana area.

Anyone who sees fire or smoke in bushland should report it immediatly to "000"

Any suspicious behaviour in bushland or reserves should be reported to

    Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
