Fire Fighters Save Homes in Point Peron
West Australian Fire Fighters have saved homes, shacks and property from a bushfire at Point Peron in Western Australia.
Strong winds fanned the flames of 2 seperatly lit fires from the sanddunes into bushland with homes in the direct path. Fire Crews quickly attended to the fire before it could impact the shacks and property off Memorial Drive.
Memorial Drive and Lease Road were closed while fire crews fought the fire.
The cause is Arson. Arsonists from previous deliberatly dangerously lit fires are still at large in the Rockingham/Kwinana area.
Anyone who sees fire or smoke in bushland should report it immediatly to "000"
Any suspicious behaviour in bushland or reserves should be reported to
Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
