Massive protests continue in central Kiev

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     U.S. journalist ccollison was in Kiev's European Square in Ukraine Monday night when residents, angry at the government's last-minute decision to suspend talks with the European Union, clashed with police. "[There were] scuffles here and there," he said. "I talked to a few people who say organization is lacking, although turnout was pretty high today in the evening. It's likely to continue on like this through Thursday or Friday." Read CNN's story on the Ukraine protests here.

Tens of thousands of people continued a massive protest in the Ukrainian capital on Monday after the government scrapped plans to sign the European Association agreement. Clashes broke out between protesters and demonstrators in European Square, where opposition members set up tents.
