Highlights of Thailand 2013
The first stop out of the 5 countries in South East Asia while backpacking. 2.5 months. Every place was a truly unique experience. Did the craziest things I never thought I would do.
They say, live life well, and once is enough.
Bangkok, Khao San:
Hanging out at a local Art Store in one of the smaller streets/ alley. Kao San Road just wasn't our thing.
Amphawa: The floating market. Crazy ride with a new driver (got lost, ran past red lights. It was nothing less than pure adrenaline rush) Took a boat trip while we were there and saw trees lighted up by fireflies at night. Not forgetting the market by the river.
Chiang Mai: Songkran (Water Festival)
The biggest water party ever. Streets and streets of people with water guns or buckets. Foam Parties. Parades with traditional costumes and dances.
Pai: Bungalows with hammocks, Motorbike trips to waterfalls, hopping on trucks to parties.
The chillest atmosphere you can get. Small town, but pretty sights almost everywhere. Super relaxing.
