    The Africa we don't see

    Wine and Good Works

Our son Andrew and his girlfriend Caitlin spent the beginning of 2013 preparing for the Put Foot Rally - billed as the greatest social rally on the face of the earth. Three weeks, 8000 kilometers and six countries taking shoes to schoolchildren in rural African villages.

My wife Tara and I flew to South Africa to celebrate their completion of the Rally. We arrived a few days early and stopped in Cape Town to enjoy the incredible scenery and magnificent wines of Stellenbosch and surroundings,

This photo was taken at the Tokara winery. Some great wine and great friends - many thanks to Sue and Tony for helping us whittle away the hours while we waited for our heroes to return from doing their good deeds.
