    San Jose, Tacloban

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     As soon as rvmitra arrived in Tacloban, Leyte, Philippines, he hopped on the back of a Toyota Hilux and began filming.
"In the four days that I covered this place two weeks after Typhoon Yolanda made landfall in the Province of Leyte, I cannot help but be teary eyed no matter how hard I try to control my emotions," he says.
He says there is unimaginable destruction that cannot be captured by a camera. "The stench of bodies that are still below the debris, the silence of the city, the heavy heart and the trauma that survivors are dealing with right now - these things cannot be captured by the camera."
Despite the damage, rvmitra is impressed by the resilience of the residents. "The people I have talked to - in spite of everything they lost - can still manage to smile and hope for a better future. Residents hoist the Philippine flag in various areas, as a symbol of strength," he says.
