Ukrainian people rally for signing association agreement with EU and removing from office current President and government of Ukraine

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     SVysotsky, 24, is one of thousands of protesters in Ukraine demanding to remove the current government and president from office. They are also rallying for the government to sign a pro-European Union association agreement.
"The people of Ukraine demand to be free of Russian Federation economic, political and cultural oppression," he says.
Protests began around Nov. 21 when the government decided to suspend preparations for signing an association agreement between the European Union and Ukraine. SVysotsky says the demonstrations are peaceful, but he has heard of some clashes with law enforcement. He has also heard seven to 10 loud explosions that sound like fireworks. Ultimately, SVysotsky hopes people can conduct fair and democratic elections to choose a new president. "We hope to overcome state corruption and social issues, we will do our best to build a free, independent and democratic state based on principles of justice," he says.

Kiev, Ukraine. Hundreds of thousands of people protesting on the central square of Kiev "Maidan Nezalezhnosti" demanding to peacefully overthrow current Ukrainian government and the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich and sign the association agreement between European Union and Ukraine that has to be signed on November 28-29 during Eastern partnership summit in Vilnius, Lithuania. Among the mottos are demands to bring to justice officials responsible for corruption and multiple economic crimes against people of Ukraine and also those who are responsible the ruthless crackdown of peaceful demonstration on the Maidan Nezalezhnosti square early in the morning on November 30, by special law enforcement unit "Berkut" using brutal force, during which dozens of people were harmed including Reuters journalist Gleb Garanich. People say they are tired of corrupted government and the President who only cares about own business interests as well as interests of Ukrainian oligarchs and stole huge amounts of money from state budget of Ukraine.
