    Your spectacular Christmas decorations

You a Vol? Fantasy of Tree's

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Ryn captured some photos of these University of Tennessee-themed decorations on Thanksgiving at the Fantasy of Trees in Knoxville, Tenn. There are more than 300 designer trees, wreaths, arrangements and gingerbread houses auctioned off at the event to benefit East Tennessee Children's Hospital. "Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves," she says. "The holiday spirit was in full force with the trees and seasonal music playing in the background."
In fact, Ryn designed both a floor tree and a table arrangement called "Woodland Fantasy" for the very first Fantasy of Trees event. "As a designer, I appreciated the hard work and beauty of every display," she says.

An unexpected emergency trip to Tennessee from Maryland turned our Thanksgiving upside down. After staying with a loved one at a local hospital for over a week, she was released on Thanksgiving Day. In the evening after settling our loved one in, my husband and I slipped out to have our turkey dinner at a Shoney's restaurant . It was pretty good but was not home with children and grandchildren. We took advantage of the free time visiting the Fantasy of Tree's at the Knoxville Convention Center. This is an annual fund raiser for Children's Hospital. There are over 300 designer tree's, wreaths, arrangements and gingerbread houses auctioned off for the hospital. Booths from ornament making for the children to, delicious cookies and candy, a food court with tempting delicacies, live entertainment, photo ops galore, including with Santa.
Although I vowed not to shop on Thanksgiving or Black Friday we could not resist the "Joy to the World" vendors. They carried Tennessee Volunteer ornaments and keepsakes. We found the perfect gifts for special "Vols" we know. The booth also offered so many animal ornaments, especially cats and dogs, all breeds.I really had a hard time choosing the one I loved best.
We avoided the malls and department store chains but really enjoyed Fantasy of Trees.
