    National Record Award for The Longest Linguistic Christmas Decoration

     
    St Thomas More College, Boys’ Secondary School at Paola, Malta achieved the National Award Record from The Malta Records for the longest Christmas Linguistic Decoration, painted, and hand-made from recycled material.

    This project is on show till New Year. The aim is to collect funds for l-Istrina. Hands Up For Charity

    This project is unique, artistic and 66 metres (216 feet) long. It is made from recycled aluminium sheets which are hand painted. The decoration is fixed to the school façade of the above mentioned school. This Christmas decorations are attracting the world’s attention by the message Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year conveyed in the various languages.

    This project was the idea of Mr Carmel Agius, a Teacher of Art and Design who is involving all students, (aged 14 to 16 years) and also the whole staff of the same school.

    Many foreigners from different countries are visiting the school to take photos near their on language of the linguistic decoration to make their own christmas card.
