CNN PRODUCER NOTE     SVysotsky says people are trying to stay warm in freezing weather while protesting in Kiev, Ukraine. People are playing soccer, standing next to burn barrels, dancing and drinking hot tea. They may be cold, but they are still protesting. So what's next for the anti-government demonstrations? SVysotsky says it's unclear what step the people of Ukraine will take next.
"I saw tents where people were offered to sign petitions to remove the president," he says. "I suggest to wait till the following days to be clear of what next steps will be done."
    - PM91, CNN iReport producer

It was chilly night, temperature drops around -2 C (28 F), some protesters gathered around burn barrels to get warmed, meanwhile other ones organized improvised football game. the rest spend their time discussing current state of the protest and what should be done next. Roads leading to the square was reinforced by barricades made of wood parts and solid metal fences used earlier by police to enclosure area around. Also some parts of Christmas tree meant to be set up on the square were used to build barricades.
On entrances to the square were settled improvised checkpoints, though pathway was free and clear few of protesters stay there and watch who is entering. Those measures are needed to prevent people on the square from possible attacks of law enforcement units, like those that took place earlier. It's common to see some of protesters wearing protective gear, mainly winter sports helmets, goggles and knee pads. It could help to avoid injuries and protect themselves in case of police operations on protesters crackdown.
On the nearby streets, near Presidential Administration of Ukraine and Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine could be observed ambulances and police cars. Also barricade line was set on Bankovaya street, from there could be observed Internal Troops line guarding Presidential Administration of Ukraine.
