    2013: Your greatest moment

    Shark Diving in The Bahamas.

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     In November 2013 Konstantinos Kohilas went to the Bahamas for a diving trip. "Diving with the sharks was quite a surreal experience. I was a little bit concerned about the fact that I was going to be inches away from multiple sharks without any form of protection. The dive masters who run the operation did a great job of assuring us if we follow their guidelines and direction that we would be 99% sure we will not have any accidents. When I first got to the bottom there were only about four or five sharks around, but one the food was introduced that number quickly multiplied and about 30 sharks were circling myself and the other divers. At that point in time I realized I was in their world now, and that I have no say as to what I can or can not do. Being so close to such danger in their natural environment, and seeing them go into a feeding frenzy absolutely blew my mind. They went from seeming peaceful, to swimming much faster than before and having only one thing on their minds; food," he said.

This was the best moment for me in 2013 because I was finally able to scuba dive after a long pause due to time constraints; and I was able to do so in one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. The adrenaline and feelings from this dive are what truly made it the best moment of 2013. I never expected to do such a thing, ever," he added.

On 11/30/2013 during a family vacation to The Bahamas, I arrived at Stuarts Cove which is one of Nassau's premier attractions featuring water-based activities.

The particular activity in mind was the shark dive that they offer. One of my best friends, Robert Ward, suggested we do this dive, and I was all in for it. After a month of hyping ourselves up to go through with the dive, the day came, and I made sure to bring my GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition along to document the event!

Here is the result of a screenshot from the footage that was filmed 45 feet under the Caribbean Sea!
