    New Year's Marshmallows

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Meaghan Mountford started decorating cookies 15 years ago. "I've always enjoyed drawing and doodling and crafting and baking, and all of those forces collide when decorating cookies and marshmallows," she told CNN.

Meaghan took this photo of some decorated marshmallows in 2009, when she was a budding blogger with little photography experience. She says marshmallows are her favorite sweet to decorate and that she used an inexpensive light box and glitter paper in the background for this photo.

I used to decorate cookies for a living. You name it, I've put it on a cookie. Major appliances, people's dogs, human organs, UFOs... all translated into icing. Now that I am home with kids and creating my own sweets (theDecoratedCookie.com), I'm all about simple, easy and quick. Like decorating store-bought marshmallows. These New Year's Eve sparkly treats take about two minutes to make.
