    Mandela's Daughter

He was a man I had hoped to meet but never met. I was introduced to Nelson Mandela at an early age. I was 11 years old when Sarafina! premiered. My father bought me the audio cassette. That was it. I fell in love with Nelson Mandela. Many years later, at the age of 35, I would change my entire name (first, middle and last) and adopt a South African one. I cried when I found out Mandela was dead. Oh! The father I never met! I loved him from a distance. I love him still. Rest in peace, Tata.
    Your daughter Lindiwe from Liberia.
