    Mandela Garden of 95 Trees

Staff of Fight Against Desert Encroachment (FADE), Nigeria are saddened by the passing away of Nelson Mandela.

This is coming up barely two months after a garden to commemorate his 95th birthday was commissioned in Asaba, Delta state by Ndaba Mandela with a bronze statue in his honor. As part of the Mandela Is campaign, the garden aims to encourage a movement of people who have been inspired by the life of Nelson Mandela to take action to help change the world for the better.

In the words of Dr Newton Jibunoh, founder of FADE and 3-time Sahara desert warrior who has been motivated by Mandela's courage and determination for over 50 years , he says "we have lost our mentor, hero, warrior, peacemaker and conqueror. His passing away though expected still remains difficult to accept as there can never be another Madiba".

A condolence register in his honour has been opened at the Mandela Garden of 95 Trees Asaba Delta State. Another register will be opened at DIDI Museum, 175 Akin Adesola Street Victoria Island Lagos Nigeria.

    Adieu Madiba...
