Town council reopen spark without consultation and without safety precautions

Monday night the new council from the town of Huntingdon Quebec secretly passed a motion to reopen a section of road that had been previously dedicated to a park. They had told citizens that they would only broach the subject next year. The were even quoted in the local paper from that very day as saying that the topic would only be discussed in January. Although the motion was added to the agenda once the meeting was opened, they proceed to reopen the street even though a large amount of citizens present at the meeting opposed the move. Following the telling from council members and the mayor on Monday at the meeting, the mayor forced employees to reopen the street on Wednesday morning without any safety precautions... As you can see, as of this morning the games are still dangerously painted on the road! Ridiculous!
