Philippines: Tangub City Christmas Lights Display 2013

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     richelle82 says Christmas is a big holiday in the Philippines. She photographed a stunning Christmas lights display in Tangub City. 'Just like the rest of the world, Philippines celebrates Christmas in a joyful way,' she said. 'There will always be Christmas spirit in the Philippines no matter how many calamities have had hit the country.'
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

Tangub City is a small provincial city in the Philippines. Each year (since maybe 2009), they have this Christmas lights display to mark the festive season. It's participated by various sectors, as it is actually a competition. This year, 2013, the different colleges in the city have participated.

I have missed the Christmas lights display for 3 years since I was working abroad. And seeing it again this year made me feel like I am indeed celebrating festive at home, in my country, after a long time. It is Christmas in the Philippines!
