A&E network, Lifetime, and History Premieres Bonnie and Clyde, More Blood, More Sex

A&E. Lifetime and History channels simulcast the miniseries Bonnie and Clyde, premiering tonight Sunday, December 8th, and Monday, December 9th, at 9pm ET/PT

    By Gabrielle Pantera

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Daily Star) 2013/12/8 – “I can handle a gun, yeah,” said Bonnie and Clydestar Holliday Grainger in an interview with the New York Times.

“I was so scared when I started with the accent,” says Grainger, who is from Manchester, England. “I’d never done American...and with loading the gun. But within a week of shooting, running around and speaking a Texas accent, you’re so involved in the scene that you don’t notice the gun in your hand.”

“I got a voice coach, three or four biographies, and watched a few documentaries,” says Grainger. “I read excerpts from Bonnie’s diaries and letters and downloaded songs she mentions in them. I had to learn about panic attacks, and I went back to ballet and dance lessons and did gun training as well.”

For the first time, A&E network, Lifetime, and History have united to simulcast the four-hour, two-night event of Bonnie & Clyde. Clyde (Emile Hirsch) and Bonnie (Holliday Grainger) are the notorious couple who went on robbing and killing spree for three years in America during the Great Depression in the 30s. They were lovers as well as cold-blooded killers. Many people will compare it to the classic 1967 Warren Beatty and Fay Dunaway feature film. This version for TV is bloodier and sexier then the film from the 60s.

Directed by Bruce Beresford and Executive Produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron.

Bonnie and Clyde premieres on Lifetime (Sky 156 / Virgin 242) in the UK in February 2014</em>
