Caleb University’s best graduating student recounts secret of success

Boluatife Oyekan, a student of Industrial chemistry of the college of pure and applied science has graduated with a 4.75 CGPA thereby emerging best overall graduate at the Caleb university third convocation ceremony.

Speaking with Daily Independence at the end of the ceremony, the 21 year old attributed her success to God, hard work and determination, adding that she herself was not much of a genius, but that her strong will to come out on top was what saw her through to the end.

“What I will say really helped me is that at the end of every lecture I make sure I read my notes and go through the textbooks before I do any other thing and before I go for another lecture I would have read the topic before going to class, so when the lecturer is teaching it becomes more simpler,”

Oyekan further stated that when she got admission into the school she had a goal to come out with a flying color and that if she will not be the best, she must at least graduate with first class honors.

“If you have a goal, it will make you focus, it was the goal I set for myself that has been driving me”.
