    Marriage Equality in New Jersey

    Bobby Purcell and Chung Lin Chow flew in from California to marry in New Jersey. Senator Loretta Weinberg gave us the people to contact for a wedding in Jersey City, NJ Judge's Chambers on December 6, 2013. Governor McGreevy made an unexpected appearance and read a poem, "Beautiful Señor" by LGBT poet Cyrus Cassells. Despite Governor Christie's attempts to stop Marriage Equality in New Jersey, equality prevailed. This is a video of their wedding. Their wedding is important because both are living with illnesses that require medical decisions be made by a spouse. Their marriage, in addition to showing the world their love for each other, protects them from outside interference. Chung is on dialysis and Bobby has pancreatic cancer.
