This iReport is part of an assignment:
Tell us the Good Stuff!
It's MUCH better to Give than to Receive
So proud of them for doing the right thing - even when no one is looking. Integrity. But as parents we WERE looking to see what they would do. They chose to donate a part of their Christmas cash to the Lone Star Bulldog Rescue. I asked them -do you want one more gift you'll play with for a few days or hours or should we help animals in need? We had been following a few of their stories. Like little Tucker Bayou pictured here. He was born with a cleft palate. He's an orphan and will probably need 3 surgeries to correct it. Or the story of Otis who is suffering from an autoimmune condition (erythema multiforme) that causes his own immune system to attack portions of his skin- skin to have raw open sores - leading to severe damage. They left wanting to donate all their money. Mission accomplished.
